Don and Pat I was compelled to contact AVNX myself after reading your posts, so today I had a polite conversation with Mr. Tony Florence who can be reached (510) 897-4188. Pat Mudge had (mostly outdated) information and George Gilder had his April report, either way both had flaws. My perception is Pat looks at the immediate where George presents the future. These are the questions I posed to Mr Florence, which he freely answered. I would Imagine Pats time would have been better spent talking directly to the company in lieu of depending on "old" information. How many people are employed by AVNX to-date? ANSWER: As of February 4, 2000, (which is when AVNX went public) employee count was 250, since going public they continue to add 20-30 new employees each week, to-date the approx. count is 450. How many sq. ft total does AVNX lease? ANSWER: As of June 2000 combined functional square footage will be 226,000. How many employees are in AVNX customer service division? ANSWER: 5 directly in customer service with 12 application engineers that assist with customer support. How many employees are in AVNX sales force? ANSWER: 7 in total (4) direct and (3) support How many patents does AVNX own and how many are still pending? ANSWER: To-date we own 2 patents with an additional 32 pending. Each patent generally takes up to two years to receive approval and Mr Florence is confident all be approved! Does one product represent 99% of AVNX sales? ANSWER: The percentage is more like 90% until June 2000 when the next product will begin distribution, changing the percentages to 60/40. Bottom line; A two years young company with enormous growth potential in the ever changing techno world. Perhaps this clears up some very basic questions, I'll leave all techno questions up to someone else!:) bowing out gracefully! good buys to all Kimberly
