Internet power Bingo(R) beta testing commences
VANCOUVER, May 8 /CNW/ - Border Capital Corp. (CDNX:BOP)(``Border'' or
the ``Company'') is very pleased to announce the commencement of the beta
testing phase of its free-to-play Internet based Power Bingo(R) game.
The launch of the www.powerbingo.com web site, expected at the beginning
of July 2000, will see the first phase of the planned deployment of the
Company's proprietary pattern recognition lottery game technology. Registered
players will be able to play Power Bingo on the Web 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week for free, and compete for a variety of cash and merchandise prizes,
featuring a progressive cash jackpot of up to US$5,000. The game employs
Macromedia's Shockwave technology to deliver a state-of-the-art, media rich,
interactive game environment. The unique lottery-style aspects of the Power
Bingo game are showcased, as players compete in ``games within a game'' for
intermediate prize patterns, and a ``draw-to-a-winner'' coverall or blackout
pattern. Another unique feature of the game is the BingoMeter(TM), an
on-screen real-time display of the game status showing how many bingo cards
are within 3,2,or 1 ball(s) of winning a pattern prize.
Each Power Bingo game completed by a registered player will earn them an
entry into a weekly SuperPower Bingo(TM) game, which will feature the first
ever live webcast of a bingo game ball draw for a lottery size cash jackpot.
The Company will earn revenues from the operation of the Power Bingo and
SuperPower Bingo games from advertisers, and expects to be able to offer
