I've been working on a new website for the last month or so in order to setup an infrastructure where users can share tips, ideas and code without the usual drawbacks of web based tools. There are many ideas that I'd like to share on this thread that require charts or file attachments. Rather than uploading them to a separate web page, I created a new website where everyone can share freely without most of the usual limitations. It features the following:
- 100% completely free, and that really means $0.00!
- Fully searchable, threaded message forums
- The ability to add HTML, images and file uploads to messages
- Separate areas for different topics - i.e. neural nets, genetics algorithms, etc.
- A links area where anyone can post a cool link they may stumble upon, and where users can rate others links
- A separate fully-indexed, searchable database that contains all kinds of code, indicators, scans, etc, for many platforms, that can be uploaded to and downloaded from freely
- It is commercial-free. I paid for the server space (50 megs) for a year so that users don't have to click on banners or anything like that. There is currently one banner that is there for a link exchange. This is to generate a bit of traffic on the site as it is all new, and nobody knows about it yet. Once people know the site is there I will eliminate the banner. I hate them too! :)
I have no financial interest in this other than trying to improve my trading abilities. I will share my ideas openly and hope that others will join in.
For the time being, I have set up forums to discuss technical analysis, neural networks, genetic algorithms, Neuroshell Trader, BioComp Profit and Metastock. If users want other areas, I will be happy to add them if there is sufficient interest.
The site is a little bare right now, but it will pick up once I begin to post my Metastock and NS Trader code to the database.
I've setup a place for us to share, now it is up the users/lurkers/experts to join in. If you have a moment, please drop by neural101.com and let me know what you think.
