[appreciation timing]

I will be watching AMTX carefully and will
end up buying a lot if a contract comes through or the xDSL sector catches major
fire. I think a good potential might be to buy long term calls.

Mike,

If we're expecting a major jump in stock price, but don't know
when its going to happen (3-12 months?) what's the best strategy?
My philisopphy has been to hold and buy during the dips, rather
than try to time the announcement. Now I am rethinking this strategy.
Perhaps a spread: sell short-term calls and buy longer term ones
and stock. I really would like to know when the CG/TI modems
will be available. WSTL is saying their 'ENvision' modem will be
available beginning in 4Q '97. My guess is DMT contracts could
be announced beginning then. So---Sell July and August Calls and
Buy Dec/Jan?
