No. I'm being serious here. A mkt-driven society is more likely to countenance support for those who can be "brought into " mainstream society, like the poor or illiterate. Much of the past week's discussion has centered on these folk. I'm thinking of the ones wih no hope (barring the medical equivalent of discovering a FTL drive) of being normal or productive. What is their fate in a "realistically" imaginable mkt-based society? Just asking. I'm interested in hearing your opinion, not dissecting it.
