Prior to Germany's joining the euro, most econ/political commentary focused on the idea that Germany, were they to be hamstrung by the euro, would be crushed by Am and Asian competition. What did Germany have to be told to join the euro? How can the strengthening of socialism best be enacted, and would it involve the simultaneous support of the euro along with the greatest attack on laissez faire capitalism since the 1930's? In this "new world order" is there a coalition of nations similar to the euro in the works for North Am? Are the right people in the appropriate positions of power in order to make a large move in the chess game between capitalism and socialism? Does sh*t like this just happen? Mike
