If you extend the trend over time, Wind OS will eventually reach critical mass inside Cisco, and they will de facto standardize, whether they announce it or not. What you say seems like the inevitable outcome of an unstoppable, linear process. Unfortunately, the real world is filled with discontinuities, which are anything but linear. What must happen with Cisco is more convoluted, and much more interesting, than any possible endpoint of a linear extrapolation. Allen
