Dave,

There have been enough other players in the market who've said that DDR is unstable to support AMD's concern (Sony, for example).

It is possible that AMD will experience similar stability issues as Intel experienced with Rambus, those things tend to be forgotten once they are worked out. We may not even know if there ever were any problems, if they are straightened out before, rather than after the release of the chipset / motherboard.

I am assuming that Rambus has more in the it's arsenal of weapons in the upcoming battle for main system memory of the PC computers than a possibility that one of the vendors of the chipsets of the competing technology might experience problems implementing it.

Joe
