LB, Thanks for another perspective.

I believe there is a wealth effect and it will show up in the third quarter in the form of a slowdown in consumer spending big ticket items and home sales.

For me, the April/May tech wreck in NDX et al where all the money is will have the same exogenous shock effect as LTCM in '98.
