Re: co-option of 'innovate': maybe MSFT should create a Dictionary Division which will redefine many words in the English Dictionary. They could then indeed claim that they had "innovated" new definitions of words in the English language. Recursively, they could keep re-defining the word "innovate" in an infinite loop thus achieving continuous "innovation" based on the original benchmark definition from the Webster Dictionary.
