OK, I'm back up and running for the most part. After that Birinyi link I ended up having to reformat my hard drive and reload all my software. I went back to the Birinyi link, but this time declined to accept Java from the site, and it worked fine. I also tried the other doubleclick sites that have been known to consistantly crash my computer (Thomsons,Freeedgar) without Java, and voila, no crashes. I'll be a lot more careful from whom I accept Java in the future. Carl
