Mine says it's not upgradable too Constantine, that is because it is 56K. :-o I'm not clear on why someone needs CompUSA or Best Buy to upgrade a modem...UNLESS of course it were needing a chip change. Call the toll free number on the link I gave you, and have the serial number for your modem handy, it's on the end of the box where the bar code is.
