Funny you talk about simplicity... I just went to dinner (working late tonight) and got to thinking that I'm trying to watch too darn many signals and too many charts (1m, 3m, 13m, 1h, AND daily per stock). I keep playing the 1m and 3m charts cause I keep getting caught up in my trades and can't afford the time to do that, so I would love nothing more than switch to a longer time period like you guys are playing here. That is, I'd like to swing fewer trades for more points. The setup, however, is really a lot of repetitive information; 1m and 3m charts for 2 charts are up (13m and hourly are iconized) and 1m and 3m futures are on the right. For intraday trading, futures are essential in my opinion. Almost everything moves with them. My intraday trading is far more profitable since I began using them. Even if I start trading on a longer term basis (somewhere between 13m and hourly is my goal - intra and interday depending on the signal), I don't think I personally will be able to take a position without the appropriate index being more or less in agreement. Anyway, back to my point... I frequently catch myself realizing I ignored one signal or other before taking a position which negates the purpose of my watching the signals! And I thought my setup was embarassingly simple compared to these day traders using 13 flat screen LCD's coupled to 6 computers with redundant high speed data feeds! :-) Sam
