OJ...you leave me speechless. well, not completely. <g> yep 50 bps. may still have some shock value, contrary to what has been suggested by various WS strategists. of course the statement that comes with the hike will be important as well - but how can it possibly be anything but hawkish in the face of the most recent economic data? of course the Fed also likes to take that opportunity to pat itself on the back and point out its belief that it has the inflationary pressures under control. i wonder... anyway, an interesting week awaits. regards, hb
