Ok, then, Christopher, let's say "those kind, gentle people dressed in a manner to evoke joy and laughter in children, who carried toys in their hands as gifts for their hosts, and who are welcome in any home they may be requested to visit."
Get a grip. If people bust into your house with a false warrant, armed to the teeth in combat gear, scream, threaten, and bust your stuff, and then forcefully remove someone in your household, you're going to tell me that's an American way of doing things?
Instead of getting emotionally wrapped up in the Holocost (don't misunderstand, I agree it was a terrible time), try to look at the actual TACTICS used by the "real" Gestapo and those used by our National Law Enforcement Agencies. They both operated under the color of law, and their methods are designed to instill terror in those they don't gas, shoot, or impoverish.
Don't confuse what happened AFTER the arrests with the arrests themself. We're not as far down that slippery slope as the Nazis. Yet.
