I'm not arguing with you Sonny just pointing out how things start and how perceptions begin to form. AOL is no longer a little guy on the block.

In '97 when AOL was having the busy signal problem most just laughed at them, then they were considered rather inept, no one was really scared of them. Just as Apple, NOVL, SUNW and many others laughed at MSFT in '87-89 when the first version of Windows came out. Then MSFT started perfecting the product, getting better and winning. Then the competitors got scared and in my opinion their fear and inability to compete with MSFT led them to scamper to the DOJ.

Companies like Disney and others are afraid of this AOL-TWX thing. AOL is not a laughing matter anymore. They are big, they are creating enemies. More and more companies will shout foul. As time goes by you will hear more and more companies say that AOL-TWX is too strong, they are trying to control cyber space. It doesn't matter if it is true or not. Simply by being large AOL-TWX will be guilty. And regardless of the reason, doing things like pulling the plug on DIS don't help in the court of public opinion and make nice cannon fodder for use by states Attorney General's in the future. How dare they, AOL, try to silence Mickey Mouse, an American icon <ggg>.

I have no bone to pick with AOL but I know where things are probably headed with them.

IMHO
