I-bonds; Brinker opinion?

Has Bob Brinker ever addressed the issue of I-Bonds? These are US issued bonds that now pay for the next six months an annualized rate of 7.49 percent. The rate is subject to change every six months, if you withdraw your money before 5 years you lose 3 months interest, the interest is not taxable by states, and the interest is not taxable at all until you cash the bond. It sounds pretty good. Has Bob ever expressed an opinion on these?
Thanks.
