Dow Jones Online News, 05/10/2000 00:00 AMEX To Trade Options On Five Companies Beginning Thursday
NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- The American Stock Exchange will launch trading in options on Avigen Inc. (AVGN) under the option symbol GKU, Mission Critical Software Inc. (MCSW) under the option symbol UFJ, Transkaryotic Therapies Inc. (TKTX) under the option symbol UFT and Quanta Services Inc. (PWR) on Thursday.
In a press release, the American Stock Exchange said Avigen options will open with strike prices of 25, 30 and 35 with position limits of 22,500 contracts. The options will trade on the February expiration cycle, with initial expirations in June, July, August and November. The specialist will be Letco-Specialist L.P. Avigen develops gene therapy products.
Mission Critical Software options will open with strike prices of 25, 30 and 35 with position limits of 22,500 contracts. The options will trade on the January expiration cycle, with initial expirations in June, July, October and January. The specialist will be Spear, Leeds & Kellogg. Mission Critical Software provides systems management software.
Transkaryotic Therapies options will open with strike prices of 25, 30 and 35 with position limits of 22,500 contracts. The options will trade on the January expiration cycle, with initial expirations in June, July, October and January. The specialist will be Susquehanna Investment Group. Transkaryotic Therapies is a biopharmaceutical company.
Quanta Services options will open with strike prices of 50, 55 and 60 with position limits of 31,500 contracts. The options will trade on the February expiration cycle, with initial expirations in June, July, August and November. The specialist will be AGS Specialist Partners. Quanta Services provides specialized contracting services for for telecommunications, cable television and electric power industries.
