Are you being sarcastic?

There are many places you can get free real-time quotes. Well, not completely free. You have to provide a junk-e-mail address for most. I only see two disadvantages for the individual investors (not traders): (1) they can be subject to market maker games, and (2) they don't have as much access to top management of companies.

(1) is mostly taken care of by limit orders and long term investing.

(2) is always going to be a problem, because a CEO only has time to see so many people. Public access to conference calls helps a lot, though.

Or am I just being naive?

Here's an idea to greatly improve the lot of the individual investor. How about realtime quotes for everyone. No more of this delay business. Talk about full disclosure. Price the cost into the system - if it isn't already anyhow.
