Dragon Makes Major Cuts in Administrative and Sales Expenses
ORLANDO, Fla., April 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Dragon Environmental Corporation's (OTC Pink Sheets: DREV) recently appointed President, Dr. Sam Saliba, today confirmed that he has, in accordance with his early commitments, reduced the overhead expenditures of the company dramatically in order to achieve profitability. Removed from the payroll of the company have been the Chairman, Basil Meecham, the COO, Loren Howard and the VP of Marketing, Edwin Korkki. ``The members of management on the payroll include, the inventor, Mr. Ken Mims and myself. Messrs. Meecham, Howard, and Korkki are continuing to assist the company when called upon on an as-needed basis without pay. They acknowledge the importance to all concerned to make Dragon profitable; their support as needed has proven invaluable,'' stated Dr. Saliba.
In addition to these cut backs, Dr. Saliba added, ``I have changed the compensation package for the sales representatives who were on a salary, plus expenses, plus commission, to a commission-only basis. Those sales representatives who stay with the company should be very successful based on their efforts. Hopefully, we will find additional representatives and manufactures agents who will carry the Dragon line of services, which could become one of their main sources of income. These cuts were necessary. I am, as promised, making a lot of changes. It is a major challenge, one that will take time but should be for the benefit of all shareholders,'' concluded Dr. Saliba.
