The Internet Spirit: Breaking Down Dams.....

For once, Fred, I'm with you although MSFT doesn't have legal power to coerce. MSFT is gonna lose in this duopoly!
Nationalization may be the way gov't. seek to resolve the "threat" of MSFT's monopoly. What I see though is that the internet represents a threat to the reeducation of America now underway via the government schools, print and broadcast media.
If the internet is "regulated", you've got a Pravda-like situation - all media the propaganda organs for the Govt.

It took me a ton of head scratching and bashing to before I humbly submitted - ie. "let go" - to the intuitive understanding that at the core of what people are calling "The Internet Spirit."
I liken it to a KISS massively mindblowing mindset shift.
When we finally "get" The Internet Spirit we finally "see" the world for the Wizard of Oz effect that it really is:
- facades
- power
- control
- fear
- labelling
- judging
- dog eat dog
- competition
- fixed pies
- "my pie" vs. "your pie"
- spin
- politics
- brands
- etc., etc.
The world as "we all know it" is simply a collection of various dam building energies.
The "water" behind the dams is ENERGY - represented by our personal "time, trust, risk, skills, intelligence, opinions, values" - but here's the KISS dark secret:
"The world as we know it does NOT want us to "see" or "get" the fact that our personal ENERGY - ie. water - is really trapped behind various dams.
As we grow older this "damming effect" begins to take on a very strange dysfunctional energy of it's own. We unfortunately learn to settle into our comfort zone of passively "accepting" the reality that we are really NOT FREE - that something, someone, somewhere, somehow "owns us" or has a lien against our personal TIME and TRUST - our ENERGY.
Whenever we are in a room or in a meeting or doing a job where our "gut" is telling us that the real meaning is OUT THERE - somewhere - and NOT inside us, then this is proof positive that we are hooked, that we've "sold out."
The problem is trying to understand how we go to this point and how we somehow get out from behind our many personal, group and associative dams that are taking energy - REALLY, just as REAL dams derive electronic power from the water that's back up behind them, etc.
The Internet Spirit is a huge massive threat to these man-made dams and all the smoke, fire, fear, power and control that the world wants us to believe is locked up and owned behind them.
For, like a lasar, The Internet Spirit is drilling holes inside these dams. As these holes are gradually get larger and larger INDIVIDUALS on the other side of these dams - with their personal boats, tools and services (ie. their personal skills, ideas, creativity, unique voice and energy) are discovering that there IS another side of the REAL world coin.
There IS light!!
There IS a river that carries the same, exact water our personal boats float on, but the energy, direction and location of these rivers are uniquely personal to this inner BEAM of light - ie. spirit - that's there inside us.
Mankind does not want us to acknowledge that this inner BEAM or spirit really exists. If you look at the entire history of the world you will see, time after time, repeated over and over, a whole repeated cycle where mankind - disbelieving this spirit - instead decides to build his own dams.
The tools, techniques and methods used to do this are common: ideology, judgement, spin, fear, power, control, money, etc.
For a real world example, just look at Vegas, Disneyworld or our Federal Government. And if Gates and Balmer were in this room I'd challenge throwing Microsoft right in there, too.
So what we really have here folks is a classic transformational battle on our hands for power and control.
Gates, Balmer and our Federal Govt. hold the cards.
But those cards are only as powerful as the meaning we give to them.
If we no longer give as much meaning to the facade, fear, smoke and fire coming from the Wizard in this Land of Oz, then we can all individually and collectively progress into this New Age of Service away from the Old Model of Business, Power, Money, Fear and Greed.
For there really is NO COMPETITION anymore. And there is really NOTHING to lose. All we have to do is just "believe" that there IS a river behind these dams we've all been living behind.
If we believe there IS this REAL river, and if this river is the river which is supposed to take us where we are all supposed to go, all we have to do is simply take our boats, skills, tools, services, ideas, creativity, time, trust and ENERGY (ie. all just like the water behind the dams we build) and "let go".
It's just like floating down a river on an intertube. Some people may have rafts, bigger boats, or whatnot. But when we are all "on the same river" and moving in the same direction - but FREELY can decide, pick and chose what we want to think and where we want to go - somehow life as we know it takes on a completely New Spirit, New Look and New Feel.
Try this for a brief moment:
1) Imagine yourself behind a dam in "your boat". How to you feel? Where are you? What's behind you? What's ahead of you? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to "feel" the general closed-in nature of this environment. How you compare to others becomes much more relative and we naturally - because of our ingrained "relative" perception -will tend to compare, judge, weigh the value of our boat relative to others.

2) Imagine yourself on the mightly Mississippi River in "your boat" with your ideas, freedom, skills, etc. How to you feel? Where are you? What's behind you? What's ahead of you? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to "feel" that there is an open-ended and FREE flowing nature to this "new" environment. How you compare to others becomes much less relative for there's a larger dimensional flowing ENERGY carrying us - moving us - downstream TOGETHER.
The power and ENERGY of the River is the perfect metaphor for this Internet Spirit.
It's very unfortunate that mankind has to waste and squander so much energy, creativity and goodwill, all because of this failure to "see" and "believe" that we truly are flowing on ONE River.....together.
This is the massive mindset shift which The Internet Spirit is gifting to mankind all over the world. Leave me out of this.
For "It's The Internet, Stupid!"
It's all just a matter of one's mindset.
Unfortunatelt it's still all wrapped up as this KISS enigma wrapped inside a question which is buried - almost fearfully hidden from view - inside The Internet Spirit which is the SAME water that flows down the SAME River, despite whatever dams we build.
We just keep building them and they keep getting torn down by the forces of this Internet Spirit - the River - which supports us all.
