Better call nCUBE Ken

and tell them they have an error on their website:

"A single MediaHUB can deliver 172 simultaneous 3-Mbps streams. Using nCUBE's hypercube interconnect architecture, up to 256 MediaHUBS can be connected to function as a single computer, providing unmatched scalability and flexibility for applications such as video-on-demand (VOD), near-video-on-demand (NVOD), and time shifting."

ncube.com

The big problem (as I stated 3 years ago) is that each mediahawk server has to carry along a copy of each movie, and in their design they even spawn more copies on the same server if the demand for that title is high.

This is not crippling at 10-100 movies, but it will be a uncompetitive at 1000 - 5000 titles.

That's the advantage big machines have (DIVA, nCUBE, Unisys, ) one copy of content to 10,000 + streams.

These big machines can also be replicated (networked) like CCUR is doing with their small machine and gain even a bigger advantage long term.
