this is a rear-guard action, doomed to failure. A lot like the way the Baby Bells have spent their energies in the courts, defending their local monopolies.

When I bought a new car last year, I bought it from a dealer. But, before I went to any dealer, I used the internet to gather a lot of information. I knew exactly what the dealer's costs were, for the car and all possible options. I decided, before I talked to a dealer, exactly what I wanted. Then, I called up all the dealers in a 50-mile radius from my home, and made them compete on price. Knowledge is power; the internet gives me knowledge; no one can stop this revolution.
