Intel sold $74 mln in Micron stock, plans to sell more
WASHINGTON, May 9 (Reuters) - Intel Corp. (NASDAQ: INTC) recently sold about $74 million worth of Micron Technology Inc.'s (NYSE: MU) stock and plans to sell $63.2 million more, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
Intel sold 1,190,300 common shares of Micron on May 4 and intends to sell an additional 1,032,700 shares, Intel's filing said. The companies are among the world's largest makers of personal computer chips.
Intel, based in Santa Clara, Calif., initially invested in Boise, Idaho-based Micron in October 1998, the filing showed.
Intel closed down 11/16 to 116-15/16 on Nasdaq while Micron fell 2-15/16 to close at 55-7/16 on the New York Stock Exchange. |
