Here is an interesting quote from the Forbes article:

"Some argue that Terayon is walking a fine line in terms of disclosure. "They've made comments that are not strictly inaccurate, but if you're not speaking to an educated audience, they could be misinterpreted," says Dave Bukovinsky of CableLabs. "

Is this similar to the modus operandi of our favorite stock hypester^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H technology pundit, Herr Gilder himself? Is it possible that Herr G's rococo prose style is a perfect foil for certain kinds of high-tech company PR? I wonder if the marketing departments of some not-so-scrupulous high-tech companies actively use Herr G as a megaphone for their own hyped-up press releases? How does Herr G find out about new-born companies with allegedly hot technology? You don't suppose that he is contacted by hyperactive company marketeers desperate for press, do you?
