Absence of buyers in this market. That is exactly the reason I have decided to start buying call options and also go margin. More bearishness today in the market. Since the economic numbers are late in the week, the market is selling off. However as we get closer to the PPI release, we should start seeing real buying and short covering. Anyone see the HUGE increase in JDSU short interest in the latest report? I don't think the ETEK acquisition is a material factor in the short interest in JDSU. Maybe that is why the stock is holding up just as well as the other big cap stocks with much lower PEs.
