I recall that Cisco painted a pretty darn optimistic future going forward. As always they restated their concern about margins but suggested that growth in the service provider markets were continuing to accelerate. Enterprise... well, there's little competition at this point.

To be totally honest, Cisco had a great quarter, but it does worry me, to an extent, that one of the reasons it was so good was because of the surprising strength of the enterprise sector. Let's face it: enterprise is not where the $50 billion in sales is going to come from in three years. True to the past, revenue and earnings expectations will be increased for the future going forward. But what happens when the enterprise division is not growing 20% sequentially (as it was last quarter, if I am correct)?

Of course they are also doing extremely well in the service provider industry. And that is where the pot of gold lies, not in the enterprise sector (though I'm not complaining about the strength of the sector).

Thoughts?
