No, that's your point. You made it well and in less time than Bloch consumed. Bloch didn't make that point. He didn't make any point. Or offer any reasoning. He simply uttered an ugly, brutish growl: "Time to teach the baby boomers a lesson."

And then Ron Insana nodded dumbly. No follow-up question, no query as to what was meant or why, no additional worthwhile information extracted at all. I commented then and now on the remark not to knock Bloch for being the hateful barbarian he appears to be, but to illustrate the substandard "interview" technique so common on CNBC. The fact such a remark could go unexamined, much less unchallenged, underscores CNBC's phony show biz nature.
