Neo, Yes I did see the Walter's interview. I saw an honest man with sensible thoughts and ideas for the improvement of the country. I also saw a man who will not be pressured by the media into doing, or saying, anything he does not think is appropriate. It will be refreshing to have some one in the White House that will not pander to, and cannot be "kicked around", by that bunch of turkey buzzards. I also noticed that, what the media is trying to call a "smirk", is just his style of boyish grin.
He knows the significance of independents. They are what got him elected by such a margin in Texas, along with the Democrats that were so disillusioned with the direction of their party. There is a lot of his dad in him but, there is also a lot of his mom. A good combination.
I suppose you have seen today's poll by Time Mag, that liberal rag, that shows Bush 8 points ahead of Gore, and I'm not sure the full effect of McCain's endorsement has had time to completely manifest itself.
