I received the following via private mail. At first I was not going to post it here, but knowing how forthright and honest Tom is, I figured I'd copy and paste. First, please understand that the views expressed are not mine, this is an e-mail from a friend.

Keith, well how goes it? Market is kicking my ass and kicking it good. I am sure your ass is not in too great a shape either if you are still over on that porch place listening to that V-Guy. As you know, I have been lurking over there for awhile now. You said it would be an ideal place for me to learn. Well, I have learned alot. Unfortunately, they have all been painful lessons. I do not blame you, and I do not blame that V-Guy, but I must say this - Why is this guy so respected? Since I have been lurking around, he has been wrong at least 80% of the time. He keeps saying watch this stock, or watch things turn this afternoon and etc. Meanwhile, the market is a sick dog that needs to be taken out back and shot. He keeps on saying what opportunities this is. Been saying that for weeks now. he said something the other day that we "better buy now". Well, it seems everytime he says that, the market goes further down. My predicament is this, and again, I fault noone but myself. I respect you alot. You respect this V-Guy alot. That is good enough for me. It also seems he has alot of people following him at Silicon Investors. Well, I figured if his advice was good enough for you and all the others, it was good enough for me. I have literally lost my ass however. I think I have bought almost every stock he has recommended. I think I have bought almost every time he has recommended buying. Well, he never recommended selling anything, so all i've been doing is buying what he says and when he says. Needless to say, my hole is so freaking deep it is pathetic. I am also at the point where I feel like if this guy is so respected, then eventually he gets it right, so I need to keep listening. Listening to him, I would be a FOOL to sell now, and should be buying, buying, buying. When do I stop buying and when do things do what he says they will? I know you can't answer that, just thinking out loud. I am not a fool. I know the market will eventually turn around again, but meanwhile I have lost over 85% of my net worth in the last short while following the advice from your V-Guy friend. Let me ask you honestly. Does this guy have a clue? I am asking that sincerely. He literally is wrong 80+% of the time, and I also notice him getting much more quiet lately, which is a little disturbing.
Anyway, hate to lay all this on you but today was just another typical day. He talked this morning about not being fooled and buy now as things would turn in the afternoon. Well, I bought and I got trashed again. I only blame myslef mind you, but it is frustrating nonetheless.
I wouldnt mind if you posted this on your thread. I would like to hear him respond and I dont mean this in any disrespect. I am just curious to know how he feels and if he realizes that he is wrong most of the time. I know he will get it right eventually, but still this market is kicking my ass and everybody elses. If you do post this, please make sure these are my views and not yours. I know how much you like everybody over there and dont want to cause you any harm. But I also must wonder about everybody over on the porch. If everybody is listening to this guy, then I assume everybody is getting killed right now. Just a thought.
