Sudan / Petroleum Khartoum, May 10 (SUNA)- The first quantity of Sudanese benzine, which was refined at Khartoum Oil Refinery, Wednesday morning arrived at Haya, Red Sea State, en route to Port-Sudan on the Red Sea for exportation.
The news on beginning of the Sudanese refined oil exportation was announced during celebration of the Sudanese Oil Pipelines' Company in Haya, on the occasion of inaugurating new oil establishments in Port-Sudan and Haya.
Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Mining and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, Ali Ahmed Osman has affirmed the readiness to export the surplus of the Sudanese benzine which reach 600,000 tonnes, at the rate of 2,000 tonnes per day.
Osman said that the oil pumping through the pipelines has increased from 371,000 tonnes in 1996 to 528,000 tonnes in 1999.
He indicated that following its rehabilitation the oil pipeline became ready to work for ten years without reparation. __________________________________________________
Oil Pipeline / Inauguration Khartoum, May 10 (SUNA)- Minister of Energy and Mining, Dr. Awad Ahmed Al-Jaz, affirmed that Sudan will never succumb to others and will not tolerate undermining the achievements of the Sudanese nation, calling on the people of the Red Sea State to contribute to protecting the oil exporting pipeline.
Addressing a celebration of the Sudanese Oil Pipelines Company in Haya town, Red Sea State, of inauguration of installations of the petroleum pipeline, the Minister said that Sudan's accomplishments are still being targeted, affirming that the Sudanese youth are capable of defending the homeland. The Minister explained that arrival of the exported benzine to Haya is a good omen.
Meanwhile, the Acting Wali (Governor) of the Red Sea State and Minister of Education, Maj. Gen. Hassan Hamadain, said that exportation of the Sudanese oil makes the Sudan a model nation for confronting challenges.
The Minister of Energy and Mining, Dr. Awad Ahmed Al-Jaz, arrived Tuseday in Port-Sudan. The Minister, accompanied by the Wali of the Red Sea state, Abu-Ali Majzoub Abu-Ali, has inaugurated some utilities in Haya station , including the major pumping unit and other oil establishment. |
