Everybody:

Say you are convinced that the deal is off.

What are the implications, and how could one benefit from them?

My theory is, sell CORL short, take the proceeds and buy INPR. When the merger is either cancelled or voted down, I think CORL will drop and INPR will rise. Other than the risk that this eventuality is so painfully obvious that everyone does the same thus negating the effect, what other things might one want to look out for before shorting CORL?

I've never shorted before, but if there were ever a time and place, I think this is it.
