Sub stellar? no pun intended? ;-) Good ol' GSTRF...what a hoot! Follow-on to that fabulously successful IRID...and we all know how well Teledesic is doing! Look, satellites were never a big part of the telephone system (except for television relay), and will be even less in the future as the bandwidth of the fiber increases...IMO...the market niche for satellites will be Africa and PRC, and then only for a short time...the future is wireless broadband from micro-cells connected with fiber optics... -Own
