I have a a concern and a question.

My concern is with all of the fiber optics players expanding capacity at huge rates in order to stake out their pieces of the market, in a year or two mightn't we end up with worldwide overcapacity and severely reduced margins? I seem to recall this has occurred several times in the semiconductor industry .. shortages to gluts to shortages.

My question is who supplies the specialized machinery, test equipment and raw materials that these new plants need?

Who are the Teradynes and HP's and Watkins-Johnsons and Applied Materials of the optical revolution? Anyone in the industry able to suggest some of next tier suppliers that might be interesting investments?

TIA,

Mike
