Mani re: INTC would do worse than AMD.

Maybe not. It sort of goes this way. As of 12/31 AMD had 1.4 billion of debt and .9 billion short term debt. AMD's present generation rate of disposable cash, there will not be enough to meet any substantial paydown.

I don't know but I don't think there are any more divisions to sell.

If the semi-business slows down, then the falling tide lowers all boats, so to speak, and AMD's ability to securitize its debt through a convertible preferred will be impaired.

If the market is further impaired I do not think a secondary offering of AMD common would be well received.

Our Banks, which under the freedom of the recently past Anti Glass-Steagall Act [the Gramm, Rudman, Hollings Act (?)] have been dipping into the IPO business will have lost plenty of their own depositors money if market is further impaired, and will not be in a position to extend the AMD loans.

Other than that your analysis is pretty much correct.
