I never said I stopped pressing people for answers, I simply said when I do, I get nasty grams.. which I ignore.

The classic example was when I had the COO of Kimberly Clark on. I pressed him for a clear answer on whether he was comfortable with earnings estimates. Three times he refused offering some lame excuse.

I got mail that charged me with being rude.

Three days latter P&G warned and its stock dropped 25 points and trashed the Dow.... and at that point Kimberly Clark was forced to comment on estimates after its stock plunged 7 points.

I tried to do my job. Had the CEO answered me, he could have saved himself and his shareholders a lot of money by heading off the problem. Oh, he was comfortable with the 71 cent estimates. No new guidance to offer. Why didn't he just say so?.

As for the nasty grams, I couldn't care less. Just making a point that there are all kinds out there. Doesn't mean I worry about them.
