InnovaCom and Marconi Showcase Broadband Video Collaboration Solutions At N+I 2000
May 10, 2000 03:48 PM Eastern Time LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 10, 2000--InnovaCom, Inc., MPEG a leading manufacturer of high quality video transmission solutions, and Marconi Communications , announced they are demonstrating joint solutions at this year's Networld + Interop convention in Booth 5463 at Las Vegas, NV, May 9-11, 2000.
This demonstration, following a similar collaborative effort between the two companies during last month's National Association of Broadcaster's show, showcases the transmission of high quality live MPEG-2 video feeds over broadband network resources. It highlights video collaboration systems for a variety of markets including, distance learning, healthcare, law enforcement, corporate teleconferencing and surveillance. The Marconi - InnovaCom demonstration illustrates the seamless interconnect between Marconi's broadband technologies and InnovaCom's TransPEG family, which offers an unprecedented level of control and flexibility to provide customers with total solutions for a variety of applications.

InnovaCom's MPEG-based TransPEG transceiver terminals provide transport of broadcast quality video and audio as well as innovative, easy-to-use control interfaces.

InnovaCom's TransPEG 500 delivers a robust 24x7 transmission of MPEG-2 video over native ATM (AAL5). The TransPEG 500 can also revert back to LANE (LAN Emulation) protocols for Classical IP (CLIP) based transmission. Other models in the family are available using 10/100 BaseT Ethernet or T1/E1 (B8ZS or AMI). Video data rates range from 1 Mb/s to 15 Mb/s.
