You can laugh about copper all you want. The current POWER3 is .25um, so there is no benefit of copper.

At .18um, you can use Al, but you'll start to see the benefits of copper.

I'd like to see someone do a process shrink to .13um or smaller on Al.

BTW- From all I've heard, TI is great at fabbing chips, so where's UltraSparcIII? Who's to blame?
