Re: Chic, you did yourself in when you said

Tony,
I did?

AMD has yet to ship 1 (one) production microprocessor using copper interconnect

OK, wait one month then

Copper will be important at 0.13 micron, but at 0.18, it's a wash with aluminum

I think there will be benefits at .18um, we'll see in a month when Thunderbird is released and goes head to head with classic Athlon (this may not be a fair comparison due to cache though).

Tony, I've had this arguement before with other people and you are missing my point. Copper is inevitable. It's better to go to copper now than when you have to. Personally, I think it will be very beneficial to start dealing with copper at .25um and .18um than to try to go straight to .13um. Time will tell if this benefits AMD and IBM.

As for Cisco, knock yourself out shorting it.

I've never shorted CSCO and never will.

You might try to find a subject other than chips and computers in which to try to be expert around here. SI is not your Yahoo or Raging Bull wrt posters that have technology experience. What's yours, may I ask?

MIS and Math degree, 23 yrs. old, make websites for IBM. I've seen your posts about INTC. Maybe you're the one that needs a reality check?
