You are too sweet. But not technically correct. I am educating them on the art of how to be socially appropriate. Something overly emotional and reactionary parents have a very hard time with. My kids come to me with everything. And I've always told them if they are honest, there will be no harsh punishment- and in fact honesty will mitigate whatever punishment they deserve. I was not raised that way. I was raised by parents who were SHOCKED by everything. So I was very very bad...secretly. My children are wonderful. Of course it might merely be genetic- but owing to the childhood behavior of my husband and myself I think not. No words are off limits- you just have to know when to use them.
