Stepping out ... stepping in. Stepped back in it today, albeit lightly, with the full understanding that I might have to write it off later as a loss and clean my shoes. Soft retail sales numbers today don't hurt; completion of the Nasdaq bottom on Tuesday? We'll see. My reasoning for today's slot-machine move: the sense that the service providers may now be moving; the ingestion of the worst news on the 1st quarter numbers without much additional damage yesterday; the matter of the batteries order; the news from Australia; the news from Australia (did I mention that?). Am considering the pendulum effect of sentiment. ... There are now numbers in place by which growth can be judged. The unknown is reduced. More positive news in coming weeks is likely, even if some of it is cosmetic. Reconsidering the damage created by the Iridium failure--its effects on service providers, phone manufacturers, the customer base, the entire industry. Globalstar's margins are not being compromised by the SP pricing adjustments. This stone has had to be pushed up the hill for some time now by Globalstar management alone in worse weather than anyone realized; maybe some other hands are now joining in.
