Pigboy & K.J. Thanks for your positive thoughts on the superiority of FC over Ethernet in the SAN. It makes me rest easier when I repeatedly hear all of the reasons why FC is superior. I like to stay alert and watch for any signs of any power shifts one way or the other. It definitely looks like FC has the momentum to win at this point, and it's superior technological advantages would make it extemely difficult for a Cisco to derail it. I have learned to never underestimate CISCO, but I think it is a real wild card unless they are in the process of making some big breakthrough ahead of schedule. I hope that EMC and SUN will start to roll out the FC Switch product in force and we see even greater momentum developing. I agree that EMC and SUN are the experts in storage and have a big leg up on CISCO at this time.
