To Cha3: (a.k.a. tekboy). Welcome. First Dr Id as Chas, now tekboy as Cha3. A team in the making.

The beauty of the potential interweaving (or interstorming) of the Qualcomm voice, data (and even movie) tornados is that they will be forming and swerling around right in front of our eyes.

I hope you will keep your sharp eyes out and Mike will keep us informed of his take as this all happens over the next year or so. Probably this will all be slower than we think now, but by next year at this time there should be a very interesting set of patterns emerging.

BTW One of the least noticed of Dr J's statements is the Qualcomm intends to work on "both sides" of the wireless / internet (intranet) nexus. So far the primary entry on the "wire" side is Eudora, but not that there are a couple of investments already designed to enhance the "other side" of the nexus from wireless. Expect there will be a few interesting developments on that front.

Again Dr J has his focus on the wireless / internet nexus itself - and directly. And if the past is any guide, where his focus is, is where the Q will act.

Should be a "very good year" - perhaps those here who are interested in "ads" could suggest that as a theme song - perhaps the Frank Sinatra version is just too dated - so who?

Best.

Cha2
