Scalibility.....

This terms is a measure on how easily and cost efficiently the system can expand to handle additional load.

The closest equivalent to this in a business setting would be inventory turns. Say you have two businesses with the same product. One with an inventory turn factor of 4 while another had an inventory turn factor of 10. Which is the better business? Clearly, it is the one with a factor of 10 since it can more efficiently handle demand.

Another analogy could be a conference center. Imagine one conference center that has fixed walls and another with the same layout and size that has a host of sliding walls. Both can host a conference. However, the latter center provides better scalibility for individual sessions since rooms can more easily be reconfigured to handle expected demand.

Unfortunately, these are the best examples I can think of off the top of my head. If they are sufficient, please let me know and I will try to come up with better ones.
