VANCOUVER, B.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 9, 2000--Safe Environment Engineering Canada Inc. (CDNX:SFU. - news; OTCBB:SFEEF - news)
announces that it has responded to an action commenced against the company in the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

The Plaintiff, a personal management corporation of a former company officer, filed a claim against the company, claiming damages including debt in the amount of
$400,000. The company has filed a Statement of Defense and a Counterclaim, including general damages, and specific damages in the amount of $1,000,000.
Based on information currently available, management believes the cause of action against Safe Environment Engineering Canada Inc. to be without merit.
