Take a look in C:\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\ folder.

Mine is full of them. When you clear the IE browser cache they don't leave, either. And when you try to delete them all at once with shift\click, it then wants confirmation to delete each individual one.

I don't know if there are other places they hide.

A real pain in the arse....
