Well heck, goldsnow...

If we don't permit the Arabs to get an inflated price for their oil, how will they continue to be able to buy our expensive military toys??

There is plenty of oil out there. The article points out quite clearly that the shortage is due to OPEC production limits, not the shortage of oil.

The answer? Open up our strategic petroleum reserves and play hardball. If OPEC can manipulate the oil market through monopolist manipulation, so can we.

And if we're smart, we're get our @sses in gear in finally put alternative fuel technologies and nuclear power plants back on the front burner. It is just ridiculous that US national security remains hostage to foreign oil.

Regards,

Ron
