Thread on clearstation with me arguing against shorting AMD.

Original Post
clearstation.com;

My response - There might be some TA supporting the idea of shorting AMD (I am not very good at TA), but even if AMD was at 100 it would be undervauled IMO. If your really good at timeing ups and downs and get out quick after the down you might make some money shorting it, but the trend up on AMD is not just momentum tradeing, its because of 1 - A major turn around of the company and 2- A very large level of demand in the CPU and Flash markets. This is not some .com with no earnings hopeing for big bucks in the future, its makeing money now and should easily top $6/share earnings this year.

Brad's response - "I don't care if a stock's fundamentals are better than any other company in the
universe... it's gotta pull back and correct somewhat or consolidate for a while to
maintain a healthy trend. Every great leading stock corrects 25-40% at some time or
another, no matter how good its long-term fundamentals are. It may be AMD's time
now, or it may not, but it will have a correction phase. And this time I do mean
"will". "
