Hi jhg in kc; I'll repeat my comment on the alleged $2.00 system from a month ago:

When I trade an unfamiliar situation, and I classify stocks differently according to a whole bunch of criteria so I trade in unfamiliar situations quite frequently, I trade test amounts until I have proved that I can take money out of the market in that particular situation. I know you high rollers don't trade that way, but there are 1000s of ways of making money in the market, and millions of ways of losing it. Trading small eliminates some of those losing techniques.

I generally don't post my trades, small or large. But I have posted a few highly profitable relatively short term trades. Remember Thanksgiving of last year, when ADSP went up 5x in one day? (It was a classic case of mom and pop running the shorts.) I bought the day before the big run up. Here I am gloating:

Hi lifeisgood; Thanks for responding to my post suggesting that ADSP could go to $30 per share. Obviously, I underestimated considerably. #reply-12110340

But the basic fact is that my trading ability has nothing at all to do with my ability to discuss memory systems. My theory is that, when the longs have to face particularly devastating technical critiques of RDRAM, they change the subject to anything other than what they cannot reasonably answer. Ad hominem attacks are what they use when they just don't have anything to say, and just want to muddy the water. The next stage will be suggestions that I haven't published any industry articles, but it is pointless to constantly respond to this stuff.

This is my favorite recent post, note that it is completely ignored by proponents of RDRAM: An engineer's tour of an Intel i820 motherboard showing why RDRAM doesn't save costs in the motherboard: #reply-13678896
