That is my observation, too. If there is no parental attention and guidance, it is easy to become wayward. In the apparently contradictory instances I have seen, the problem has been that the parents were not loving enough, not kindly or understanding enough, and therefore fomented rebellion. Parents should neither be indifferent nor oppressive, but should discipline as an outgrowth of their devotion and affection, amply demonstrated........
